Simple to use
How to use your ear plugs
Whether you've chosen our silicone or foam ear plugs, getting the best fit takes just a few seconds. Follow the steps below for your product.
Silicone ear plugs
Pre-formed soft silicone — no rolling required.
Wash your hands
Clean hands prevent bacteria from entering the ear canal. A quick wash with soap and water is all you need.
Keep a pair of ear plugs by your sink so this becomes part of your bedtime routine.
Open the ear canal
Reach over your head with the opposite hand and gently pull your ear upward and outward. This straightens the ear canal and makes insertion much easier.
This step makes a significant difference — don't skip it.
Insert the plug gently
Hold the stem and guide the pre-formed plug into your ear canal. It should seat comfortably without needing to be pushed hard.
If it feels uncomfortable, remove it and try again. It should feel snug but not painful.
Remove by the stem
In the morning, grip the stem, twist gently to break the seal, and pull the plug out slowly. Never yank it straight out.
A slow twist-and-pull motion releases the seal safely and comfortably.
Care and maintenance
Cleaning
Rinse with warm water and mild soap after each use. Allow to air dry completely before storing in the carry case.
When to replace
Replace when the silicone feels stiff, discoloured, or no longer seats comfortably. With six pairs per pack, you have plenty of spares.
Trimming the stem
If the stem feels too long for your ear, it can be carefully trimmed with clean scissors. Trim a small amount at a time.
Professional advice
If you experience discomfort, pain, or changes in your hearing, stop use and consult a healthcare professional.
Foam ear plugs
Slow-rebound foam — roll, insert, and let it expand.
Wash your hands
Clean hands are essential before handling ear plugs. Wash with soap and water and dry thoroughly.
Make this the first step every time — it takes seconds and protects your ear health.
Roll the plug into a thin cylinder
Hold the plug between your thumb and forefinger and roll it firmly until it compresses into a thin, smooth cylinder. The slower you roll, the better the seal.
Roll slowly and firmly. A well-compressed plug expands more gradually and seals more effectively.
Open the ear canal and insert
Reach over your head with the opposite hand to pull your ear upward and outward. Quickly insert the compressed plug and hold it in place with a finger for 20–30 seconds while it expands.
Hold the plug in place while it expands — releasing too early lets it slip out before it seals.
Remove gently in the morning
Grip the plug and twist it slightly to break the seal before pulling it out slowly. Never pull a foam plug straight out — the suction can cause discomfort.
A slow twist releases the seal. If it feels stuck, twist a little more before pulling.
Care and maintenance
Reuse and replacement
Each pair can be reused several times. Replace when the foam no longer springs back to shape after rolling, or when it looks visibly dirty.
Cleaning
Wipe gently with a damp cloth and allow to air dry completely. Do not submerge in water or use harsh cleaning products.
Storage
Store unused pairs in the screw-top tub. Use the included aluminium keyring case to carry a pair when you're away from home.
